NHL training camp begins this week, and most players are confident of their upcoming season, in terms of job, pay and living arrangements.
David Pastrnak is of the small percentage who aren't concerned with inking a new deal.
According to Boston Bruins Insider Joe Haggerty, there's a sense that Pastrnak wants to wait, and play out the final year of his six-year deal. He wants to assess how things are in Beantown', prior to making a decision of this ilk.
"The direction I get from talking to people close to Pastrnak and talking to sources around the negotiations is, I think David Pastrnak wants to wait into the season to see the direction that this Bruins team is going and to get a sense of the direction that things are going," said Haggerty.
Pastrnak, 26, is entering the final year of the six-year pact that he signed in 2017 with the team. In 2021-22 Pasta' played 72 games, the right-winger scored 40 goals and 37 assists, totalling 77 points.
If Boston Bruins fans thought the season would bring forth more clarity, with regards to the Bruins Czechia-born sniper, these details certainly clouded that sentiment.
