"No NHL coach will ever blame a loss on his goalie, but Derek King couldn't completely skirt around Kevin Lankinen's struggles in tonight's 6-4 loss." Says Chicago Blackhawks reporter Ben Pope (@BenPopeCST).

As well as Derek King has a history for this kind of down language on his team, notice how i said his team? Derek King coaches these guys each and every morning, he is the head coach and his players are accounted for by himself. King has thrown players under the bus before by making this comment after a loss:

"Those guys will feel how hard it is to work at tomorrow mornings skate, those guys will be known of the way they played tonight". Notice how he does not reference his own players as "us" "we" or "our team"? It raises a question in Kings accountability with the team, and once again it has been questioned..

Derek King says "We could have used a couple stops here and there from Lankinen", well at least he referenced his own team as "we" i guess, right? No coach ever puts the loss on one individual or makes those kind of comments towards a goaltender, as well as a young one like Kevin Lankinen on a struggling Blackhawks team. Derek Kings time in Chicago is slowly draining out..
