Alex DeBrincat broke out for the Blackhawks as a 21 year old in the 2018-19 season scoring 41 goals and recording 35 assists tallying for a whopping 76 point season as a second year player, he has also quickly developed a chemistry with the other Blackhawks star winger Patrick Kane.

Why would the Blackhawks move such a star-like player? Well DeBrincat is coming off a career high year, scoring the same amount of goals as his breakout season and even totalling more assists making for a salary upgrade coming shortly as he is approaching the years of being a free agent.

The Blackhawks are in a rebuilding stage and big contracts are not a interest for the club at the moment as Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane are still soaking up a whopping $10,500,000 million dollars for another season or two. It is nearly the same scenario with former Blackhawk Brandon Hagel, Hagel excelled in the red and white Hawks uniform but was still moved.

NHL insider Elliot Friedman revealed a month ago that the Blackhawks are asking for a super large haul for DeBrincat (as they should), but Friedman went as far to say that if a team makes a push for DeBrincat it will truly cost a lot of their franchises worth as DeBrincat is only 24 years of age and has yet to hit his prime.

Well it seems as if teams are starting to make pushes for the young goal scorer, and the Blackhawks have declined a ''large offer'' says Elliot Friedman.

It is said to the Blackhawks declining *AT LEAST* a couple of 1st round draft picks, one being very high (likely a top 10 draft pick for this season) and Chicago easily declined.

You can take the LA Kings off the board as they signed and trader for a star, Kevin Fiala to a multi year near $8,000,000 contract.

But who's left that's in on DeBrincat? It seems as if the New Jersey Devils and the Seattle Kraken are still front runners and the Ottawa Senators are right behind them.

The Senators own the 7th overall pick of this years draft, and that is something Blackhawks general manager Kyle Davidson is interested in- a top 10 pick.

As momentum is building up, expect more news to be released on a official DeBrincat trade or more info on offers received within the upcoming days or this week.
