This season was the first full season of Kyle Davidson being the General Manager. Just as he got hired, he made his presence known and traded away 40-goal scorer Alex DeBrincat at last year's draft.

Blackhawks fans were hoping for a fresh start after the firing of GM Stan Bowman. Bowman single handedly ruined this hockey team. Davidson came in with a 5-year rebuild plan, and is continuing to execute it. You have to give him props, he's sticking to his plan.

In just his first year, he was presented with difficult decisions to make. Those decisions revolved around Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane. At the end of it all, Kyle decided it was time to move on, eventually trading Kane and letting go of Toews.

Those weren't his only moves, though. He was very active during the deadline. The Blackhawks acquired Anton Khudobin, Nikita Zaitsev, Anders Bjork, Austin Wagner, and more. Davidson also set us up well for the future, getting six first round picks over the next three years, while also snagging a top-5 guaranteed pick for this year's draft.

However, he ripped this team apart and left Richardson and the coaching staff with close to nothing. Kyle traded away Jake McCabe, Max Domi, and Patrick Kane, just to name a few. One name that he may want to think about going into next year's deadline, or draft, or really anything, is Taylor Raddysh. I personally hope we don't trade him away, but you never know with Davidson. No one is safe.

All in all, I think Davidson did alright in his first year. We'll see what he does next, with $40 million in cap space.
