BREAKING: The City of Chicago is Set to Get Another Hockey Team
The NHL will soon have competition for customers in certain cities as a new hockey league will be expanding soon.
The PHF formerly known as the NWHL rebranded in 2021 along with adjusting the salary caps with the name change.
Now they look to expand their market share:
After the Montreal Force was made the 2nd Canadian team in the PHF they are looking to expand in more cities across North America.
One of these cities named is Chicago and seeing as PHF is primarily a skilled league and full of hockey fanatics already, this move is a no-brainer.
The PHF currently has 7 teams and the salary cap was recently raised for 2022-2023 to $1.5 Million, along with providing healthcare to PHF players.
The expansion will continue quickly and responsibly, according to John Boynton.
