The Colorado Avalanche have signed veteran forward Zach Parise to a one-year deal before their game against the Los Angeles Kings.
The contract is worth $825K for the rest of the season.
While Parise, 39, won't fully replace Valeri Nichushkin's production, he adds depth to the top-nine forward unit.
Parise, known for his time with the New Jersey Devils and the Minnesota Wild, now joins the Avalanche after a stint with the New York Islanders.
