Flashback - Team Canada & Connor Bedard Dominate Team Latvia (Highlight Videos)
Canada would score the opening goal by Connor Bedard giving Canada a 1-0 lead.
Team Latvia would get a late one to tie it up 1-1 heading into first intermission. Team Canada would go up 2-1 11:13 into the 2nd period on a goal by Lukas Cormier.
Team Canada would go up 3-1 on a powerplay goal by Olen Zellweger 11:27 into the 2nd period giving Team Canada a 2 goal lead.
Team Canada would take a commanding lead 17:15 into the 2nd period with a flithy NHL 22 style goal by Ridly Greig what a goal!
Team Latvia would get one back on the powerplay to cut the lead down to 2. However with just over five minutes left William Dufour would put this one on ice giving Canada a 5-2 lead.
Canada would end up winning 5-2 to start the tournament off strong, they may not be as deep as the original Team Canada back in December but I believe they got the right core to win the Gold for all of us in Canada as we cheer them on.
