The Florida Panthers are on a dream run right now, after beating the No. 1 seed Boston Bruins, trampling the Toronto Maple Leafs in five games and then doing the same to the Carolina Hurricanes in one less game.
But, none of this wouldn't have been possible if game 1,286 of the regular season played out differently.
Thanks to the Pittsburgh Penguins losing a must-win game to the Chicago Blackhawks, it caused an unreal domino effect that will change three franchises for a long time.
The No. 17 ranked Florida Panthers found their way into the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the No. 1 overall pick somehow fell into the Chicago Blackhawks hands after they received 3rd best odds, the Penguins decided to clean house after losing the longest playoff streak in major sports (16 years).
This truly puts in perspective how wild the Florida Panthers playoff run is, putting a whole new meaning to «you just gotta get in.»
