To say it's been a disastrous season in Montreal would be an understatement. After drafting Juraj Slafkovsky first overall, the Montreal Canadiens shocked the world acquiring Kirby Dach in a trade with the Chicago Blackhawks back at the NHL Draft.

Dach's played well when he's in the lineup as he's had an injury riden season, today the Montreal Canadiens announced Dach is out indefinitely. Dach originally got injured back on February 14th in a game vs the Florida Panthers, when Radko Gudas would nail Dach with a puck.

Kirby Dach (lower body) will be out indefinitely.

Brendan Gallagher (lower body) will be out for 3 to 4 weeks.

Arber Xhekaj (shoulder) underwent surgery on March 1. A full recovery is expected and he should be ready for the start of training camp.

Dach got to reunite with another former Blackhawk as Habs Insider Renaud Lavoie would reveal Dach took Kane out to dinner yesterday and introduced Kane to Dach's new teammate Cole Caufield who's also out indefinitely after having shoulder surgery.

Patrick Kane (who just scored his 1st with the @NYRangers) had diner last night with Kirby Dach and Cole Caufield. Kane told me it's the first time he met Caufield.
