The Chicago Blackhawks are looking to take on the Montreal Canadiens on February 14th, in their second meeting of the season. This will be the second time Kirby Dach has faced his former team since being traded and the NHL Draft last year.

Dach was traded to Montreal over the summer at the NHL Draft by general manager Kyle Davidson in one of his blockbuster moves to acquire picks in the 2022 NHL Draft. The return for Dach was the 13th overall pick, and a third-round pick.

The two teams last met on November 25th, 2022, which would be Dach's first game back at the United Center. The game was tied after regulation and OT, Chicago had the advantage in shots with it being 32 for Chicago and 23 for Montreal. Going to shootout, Montreal's first two shooters scored and only one of Chicago's players got a goal. In comes Dach with the game on his stick and makes no mistake. After scoring the winner he would go on to taunt the crowd, check this out

This year Dach is having the best year of his career already has a new career high in goals with 12, his previous high was 9. Assists with 23, his previous high was 17, and points with 35, and his previous high was 26. Dach is clearly excelling under Martin St. Louis just like Caufield was before going for shoulder surgery.

Dach is 22, and just in his fourth year in the NHL. He's showing a lot of promise for the Canadiens.
