Former Blackhawks legendary commentator returns to the booth.
When Blackhawks fans think of a name of a colour commentary man they love, Pat Foley is one to come to mind. Foley who was born in Glenview IL Began his career by doing play-by-play commentating for Michigan State University both in baseball and hockey.
Foley joined the Blackhawks radio team in 1981
To many, it was a surprise that Pat Foley decided to return to the booth during game two of the Stanley Cup playoffs this year with the Dallas Stars versus the Vegas Golden Knights.
He along with former NHL Brian Hayward and Nick Olczyk happens to be the son of Eddie Olczyk called the game and gave the fans a friendly and familiar voice to the game of hockey.
The Vegas Golden Knights ended up winning that game and have taken a 2-0 lead in the series.
