Kris Versteeg is no stranger to the Blackhawks as he has 2 Stanley Cup rings and many good seasons to remember. During his career, he had two stints with the team and during his second stint, he was wearing the number 23.
After last night's announcement of Connor Bedard becoming a member of the Chicago Blackhawks through the NHL draft lottery, Versteeg went to Instagram and posted a picture that made people smile and chuckle at the same time.
Steeger as he's known, will certainly never be forgotten within the Blackhawks organization and then spoke highly of his time in Chicago and interviews on different podcasts and radio stations.
With the upcoming NHL draft and holding eight draft choices in three rounds, general manager Kyle Davidson will need to have his smartphone charged and his laptop ready to select properly his new team.
It's going to be intriguing to see how the Blackhawks handled this rebuilding phase as they did this previously in the Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane era.
Safe to say, at the moment it's a good time in the Blackhawks organization.
