This has been a conspiracy and has been thrown around for a bit. Some former NHL players are stating that the draft lottery will be rigged, and with the Blackhawks recent bad news from the organization within the last 5 years they won't be given the first overall pick, but Bettman will favour another franchise, and it just makes sense.
Bedard could go to the Coyotes. Arizona is having a new rink built in Tempe, Arizona, and Bettman shows some favoritism to their franchise. Gary has also been committed to keeping them in the 'Grand Canyon State', even though everyone knows they should have moved a long time ago.
Bedard had a great WJC tournament and had a lot of shock and awe plays. The 17-year-old phenom had seven points in one game against Germany. He finished off a champion, and had 9 goals and 14 assists, adding up to 23 points.
Connor is going to change a franchise overnight. Instantly. Zona is Gary Bettman's baby. His project. The Yotes have a very high possibility to win the lottery, and I can see a world where they will.
Paul Bissonette stated he spoke to Bettman and he said Bedard is going to Arizona, check out the interview below:
