Good Guy Zach Whitecloud surprises fans with gifts
Zach Whitecloud is a promising defenseman playing for the impressive Vegas Golden Knights team.
Even though he only played in 1 NHL game during the 2017-2018 season and wasn't part of the original Vegas Golden Misfits, he has proven his worth, especially during last night's game.
Just found out the backstory.
These two kids lost their father in late March. Massive Knights fans.
Zach reached out and invited them to the game and they came down from Reno this morning. Now he is giving them a tour of the locker room.
This is what hockey is all about.
He scored a crucial goal against Sergei Bobrovsky that gave the Knights the lead during Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals.
Despite experiencing racism, this undrafted defenseman has remained humble and gracious.
After Game 1, he continued to showcase his kindness by gifting some young children - who were huge Golden Knights fans and had lost their father in March - a tour, hockey sticks, and pucks. He even invited them to the game, and they traveled all the way from Reno, NV.
Zach Whitecloud exemplifies what it means to be a great person. He shows gratitude to his fans, understands their struggles, and gives them an unforgettable experience of a Stanley Cup game.
