Huberdeau Releases Statement: Flames Fans Think He Admitted He Won't Stay in Calgary (VIDEO)
If you have followed the hockey world as of late, you have heard of the blockbuster deal, arguably the biggest deal since Gretzky was traded, stats confirm that statement as Tkachuk was traded for Huberdeau- last time two 115 point players were traded for each other, it was Gretzky!
Well, the Flames sure seemed like winners after they got a unreal haul in return for forward Matthew Tkachuk..
What a return for Calgary, right? Well hold that thought.. with a simple search of Huberdeau and Weegar's contracts it reveals both are free agents in just one year from now, and can sign with any team and leave Calgary- it is ultimately there choice.
Huberdeau released a message to the fan base and some flames fans are speculating and analyzing it a little too deep, in the video Huberdeau announces what number he will be wearing as a Calgary Flame, but he says ''I just want to let you know, i picked my number for the year''.... for the year? Just a year?
Are Flames fans looking into it too much or are they onto something?
