9-Year Veteran Acquired by Vancouver Canucks in post-NHL deadline trade

The Vancouver Canucks have decided to add some depth to their lineup with former Blackhawks forward Jujhar Khaira.
While remaining quiet during March 7th's Trade Deadline, they opted to make a quiet move recently as they added some depth talent in Abbotsford.
The Canucks decided to prioritize experience, and muscle in their bottom six with their recent addition of 300-game NHL veteran Jujhar Khaira.
Khaira had spent the last season with the Tampa Bay Lightning's AHL affiliate the Syracuse Crunch.
The transaction was posted on social media Saturday night, as the Abbotsford Canucks acquired the depth forward from the Crunch.
"Abbotsford Canucks General Manager, Ryan Johnson, announced today that the club has acquired forward Jujhar Khaira from the Syracuse Crunch in exchange for future considerations." the team said.
The former Blackhawk appeared in 18 games with the AHL's Crunch who he signed a deal with the team last September during free agency.
He scored 9 points ( 3 goals, 6 assists) in Syracuse, and 19 PIMs, with a -8.
Calder Cup Playoffs
Khaira has 337 games of NHL experience to bring the Abbotsford Canucks, and will have to work his way up the depth chart to find himself in the NHL again.
Given his latest production, it sounds like he's ready to keep fighting for his dream of playing in the NHL again.
Khaira last played in the NHL for the Minnesota Wild and had a long career in the league from 2015-2016-2023-2024 split between the Edmonton Oilers, Chicago Blackhawks, and Wild.
The AHL Canucks are loading up for a Calder Cup Playoff run which Khaira will be a part of.
The team is six in the AHL's Pacific Division, with a record of 29-23-3, with 17 games left in the regular season.
The depth forward is supposed to make his debut Tuesday night against the Bakersfield Condors, the Edmonton Oilers AHL affiliate.
Puck drop begins at 7 PM.
Khaira played 68 games for the Blackhawks during the 2021-2022, and 2022-2023 seasons scoring 17 points ( 9 goals, 8 assists).
