Injured Hawks goalie finally speaks to media
Kevin Lankinen has only played in 2 games during 2022, but the 26-year old netminder is nearing a return and at the perfect time. With the Blackhawks expected to deal Marc-Andre Fleury in the next 4 weeks, it's the perfect time for Lankinen to get some playing time.
Today for the first time in weeks Lankinen spoke to the media on a bunch or topics.
On how he feels:
I feel great. I was pumped up to be back around the boys and to see some shots. I'm probably the happiest guy on the team right now.
On how is injury happened:
You always get a couple bumps and bruises throughout the game, and you always want to finish the game if there's any chance you can do that. We had a good chance to win that game, and I wanted to..see after how it was.
On Finland's Olympic Gold
I'm really happy for the boys there a lot of good friends of mine. They did a really good job there with special conditions... I'm happy that Hockey Finland is doing well and we're getting a good reputation around the world.
It's great to hear from Lankinen as he hears his return, hopefully he will help solidify the Bruins net as they embark on their rebuild.
