Blackhawks General Kyle Davidson is looking to unload as many players as he can for picks and or prospects as they continue to rebuild, aka "tanking."
Two players hockey fans have been watching is Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews, and Blackhawks fans are just waiting to see if they will lift their no-movement clauses to be dealt.
In this mock trade we would see Patrick Kane heading to the big Apple in exchange for Kaapo Kakko, Vitali Kravtsov and two first round picks.
This is quite the overpay for the New York Rangers, unless Kane decides to sign with them long-term, than the deal is just right. But Kane only has one year left on his deal, and the Rangers will not be risking giving up that much just for two/three months of Patrick Kane, for him to hit the free agency market afterwards.
This trade would help the Rangers with Kane still putting up impressive numbers despite the Blackhawks sitting in the NHL's basement. While the Blackhawks would get some nice pieces to help the rebuild.
