It's been over 30 years since Eric Lind Ross made headlines throughout the NHL when he voiced his displeasure for going to the Quebec Nordiques and wanted to be traded to the Philadelphia Flyers. That move ended up helping the Nordiques as they built a team around Lind Ross with all the draft picks they received.

That move by him and his family put a lot of disdain on many NHL fans about him and even to this day, it's mentioned in discussions. As a result, there seems to be some growing chatter amongst some people that future superstar Connor Bedard may pull the same stunt as Lindros did.

The theory goes that he wants to play for the Vancouver Canucks, the team that he followed as a kid and that he would make the Blackhawks move him at the draft. The Canucks are in the midst of a retooling phase for their team as they're trying to find their identity and what direction they want to head in.

Since the Blackhawks are one of the largest U.S. markets in the NHL and one of the most lucrative, my feelings or that Bedard will be happy to play for whoever selects him which happens to be the Blackhawks.
