Jack Campbell Has Officially Signed With a New Team..

After a crazy season seeing the Edmonton Oilers go to the Western Conference Finals but ultimately losing to the Edmonton Oilers, One thing was certain the Oilers need a real goaltender.

Well it looks like Edmonton Oilers General Manager finally listened. According to Hockey insider Kevin Weekes the Edmonton Oilers have signed unrestricted free agent goaltender Jack Campbell.

The deal is a $25 million dollar contract with a annual salary of $5 million dollars. Campbell was a first round 11th overall pick by the Dallas Stars but didn't shine until he became a Toronto Maple Leaf.

Campbell who goes by the nickname "Soupy" was 31-9-6 with a 2.64 goals against average and .914 save percentage in 49 games this season.

With the re-signing of Evander Kane and the addition of Jack Campbell the Edmonton Oilers could definitely be a playoff contender next season.
