John Tortorella Calls Out His Own Fan Base With Uncensored Comments
Yesterday's game between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Dallas Stars ended in a 1-5 loss for Philadelphia. The Flyers also suffered a 4-1 loss the day before, on Saturday. The Flyers seem back to their old roots..
The Senators and former Flyer
Claude Giroux lost six straight games before breaking the skid against the Flyers in Philadelphia, as did the Blue Jackets. The Flyers had dropped three straight games against bottom of the league standing teams, all with embarassing offensive performances.
John Tortorella was so frustratedafter the embarrassingloss to the Blue Jackets that he walked out of the arena immediatelywhen the game ended and didn'teven stay around to speak to his team, or the media. Which under coaches contracts with the NHL, you must speak to the media aftereach and every game, and Torts is looking like he will be fined for not doing so.
Torts is trending once again, and this time it's for uncensoredcomments when asked about all the boo's he heard from Flyers fans in Philadelphia.
"You can boo us; you can talk shit about us. I will back those guys because they are trying. If it was an effort problem, then it's a different story. I'm very pleased with the effort. I don't give a shit what people think about effort." -John Tortorella
