Like any lottery, it's always exciting to see the fan base and people who cover the team in question celebrate after a few years of misery watching their team pull itself apart to position itself to obtain a generational talent.
The entire Blackhawks fan base and media pool waited for the announcement, numerous cameras were catching the reaction of everyone once bill daley announced the Hawks would be the winner.
Barstool Chicago even captured the moment when former Blackhawks Scott Darling was sitting and waiting for the announcement. His reaction was priceless amongst the patrons of the bar.
As great as this announcement is for Chicago fans, it will be a long road ahead and many players to come before this team becomes ultra-competitive again.
General manager Kyle Davidson has a long list of priorities he must attend to but for now, I'm sure he along with the organization and the fan base we'll enjoy this moment until the draft in June when they see Connor Bedard put on a Blackhawks sweater.
