Kirby Dach Shares Crucial Health Update Following Major Surgery
Montreal Canadiens forward Kirby Dach is set to miss the remainder of the season due to a right knee injury. The injury, which required surgery, has prematurely ended Dach's season.
Dach suffered significant damage to both his ACL and MCL when he was checked into the Chicago bench by defenseman Jarred Tinordi during Montreal's home opener on Saturday night.
Before the injury, Dach made an impact in the two games he played this season, taking on the role of Montreal's second-line center behind Nick Suzuki. Last season, Dach contributed 14 goals and 24 assists in 58 games, marking his first season with the Canadiens following a trade from the Chicago Blackhawks.
Unfortunately, injuries have plagued the 22-year-old forward in recent years. Late last season, he missed 24 games due to a lower-body injury, which was followed by an upper-body injury. In the 2020-21 season, while with the Blackhawks, he was limited to just 18 games due to a wrist injury.
''Surgery done. Thanks everyone for all the support over the last few weeks. Road to recovery starts now!''
Despite the setbacks, Dach remains determined to overcome these challenges and make a strong return in the future. Canadiens fans eagerly await his comeback, as he has proven to be a valuable asset to the team.
