Kirby Dach may be investigated for doing something illegal vs Blackhawks
As I am sure you know, Kirby Dach was traded to the Montreal Canadiens during the NHL Draft this past summer.
The former Blackhawks has been killing it with the Habs, as he has 17 points in 21 games.
Dach is just 21 years old and was a first round pick for the Hawks just a couple of years ago. Each season he developed nicely and had great defensive skills for a forward. The part of his game that needed the most development was his confidence, and it seems it had developed nicely in Montreal.
With a player being traded so young, you can only imagine how they feel after being given up on by the franchise.
Well, I'm sure he was looking to stick it to the Hawks in his return, and he most definitely did following his game winner in the shootout.
After the game, a reporter jokingly asked Dach if he placed a bet on the Habs for the game, insisting that Dach was playing with an edge and guaranteed himself a win in the return.
In response to the question, Dach just simply said, "no comment."
In another interview Dach said ''yeah'' in regards to if he did have money on the board, in terms of a bet placed.
Even if this is a joke, which it seems as if it is, the NHL does not take this stuff lightly and has suspended players in the past, as it voids their contract agreement which states they cannot place bets on any NHL team, prop or outcome.
Evander Kane was investigated for this same kind of situation just last year.
