Shane Wright has been shutting up a lot of doubters.
Shane Wright was selected 4th overall in this year's NHL Entry Draft by the Seattle Kraken. He is most known for staring down the Montreal Canadians table after they passed on him and took Juraj Slafkovsky with the 1st pick.
Shane didn't exactly have the best NHL start. He had only one point in seven games played and was on the 3rd and 4th line. The Kraken was better off sending him to the Coachella Valley Firebirds, their AHL affiliate; except they wasted his talent, possible stunting his growth. Instead, they sat him for nine games in a row.
Seattle eventually sent him down to the AHL, and it is proving to be the right move. Wright has four goals in three games, and is showing no signs of slowing down, not only getting back in stride, but gaining confidence as well.
