The Toronto Maple Leafs have been a hot topic of late especially when it comes to goaltending. With Leafs Nation having serious salary cap issues many believe that Leafs General Manager Kyle Dubas is going to have to find a replacement for Pending unrestricted free agent Jack Campbell.

The Toronto Maple Leafs appear to have their eyes set on Campbell's replacement as Leafs Gm seems to have serious interest in signing free-agent netminder Marc-Andre Fleury.

Kyle Dubas tried to acquire Fleury last season at the trade deadline with the Chicago Blackhawks but Dubas and Blackhawks GM Kyle Davidson couldn't come up with a trade both sides felt happy with and Fleury would end up going to the Minnesota Wild.

Campbell was very popular amongst fans in Leafs Nation who gave Campbell nickname "Soupy" Campbell would become a bonafide starter after he was traded to the Leafs from the Los Angeles Kings taking the Leafs net from Freddy Andersen who would end up signing with the Carolina Hurricanes this past off-season.

Campbell is expected to receive a multi-year deal north of $5 million per season, a figure the Maple Leafs apparently aren't able to make. Fleury's expected salary is believed to be between $4.5 to $5million dollars annually not a bad price at all for a three time winning Stanley Cup goaltender.
