Longtime NHL'er Hospitalized and Fighting Life Threatening Infection
Longtime NHL enforcer for over fifteen years Maniwaki Mauler, A.K.A Gino Odjiick is currently battling a serious infection in the hospital, a twitter account revealed the sad news.
Odjiick's was not just a enforcer on the ice, but off the ice as well, Gino has also fought AL amyloidosis, a disease which attacks the heart and can be very fatal, attack the liver, kidneys and nearly all of thee above. Gino stayed strong and kicked it in the butt.
News has been released that he is back and fighting again, a tweet surfaced, and it stated the following:
#GINOSTONG Hello Everyone, just to bring some clarification, because there is alot of rumors going around. Gino Odjick is in the hospital, and he is battling a serious infection,and no its not Covid. We are feeling pretty optimistic he will recover from this battle as well.
#GINOSTONG Would like to thank everyone for their love and support, and he asks everyone for their positive vibes. Another health challenge he is willing and prepared to battle, thank you everyone and much #Respect.
