Meet the New Andrew Shaw of the Chicago Blackhawks
The Chicago Blackhawks have entered their off-season and recently announced the signing of one entry-level contract.
Samuel Savoie is the newest member of the team and has been compared to Andrew Shaw for his aggressive style of play and willingness to get physical on the ice. Savoie expressed gratitude for the comparison to the legendary winger.
He spent the last three seasons of his junior career in the QMJHL with the Gatineau Olympics, where he achieved a career-high of 59 points (26 goals and 33 assists).
Additionally, Savoie has a license plate that suggests he is not only humble but also willing to stand up for his teammates on the ice.
Sam Savoie draws a penalty, while the Blues score. Saved a goal, and a Hawks PP. Savoie is really looking like a little Andrew Shaw! 💥
The Chicago Blackhawks drafted Savoie in the 2nd round, 81st overall, and he will likely continue to develop in the AHL.
