Quinn Hughes, the Canucks' standout and top defender, recently criticized the team's medical staff. After it was revealed that forward Tanner Pearson would need surgery and miss the remainder of the 2022-23 season, Hughes made a statement.
Pearson just underwent major wrist surgery, and it appears that he was either pushed back or not properly managed because it has gotten worse since. Quinn Hughes has also expressed concern about Pearson, who has undergone two surgeries this season.
Quinn Hughes on the news Tanner Pearson's season is over due to another surgery: That wasn't handled right.'
Now, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnethas given us some insight into how the NHL may deal with this and says that players might bring this up with the NHLPA.
