The Chicago Blackhawks Fan Base Erupts After Team's New Announcement
Just five days ago we put out a piece on exciting news for Blackhawks fans and the organization as a whole, the team called up their future superstar Lukas Reichel.
Reichel was the Blackhawks 17th overall pick in the 2020 NHL draft and has blew expectations through the roof with his play in the American Hockey League, he also just recently started to find his groove with the Chicago Blackhawks since being called up. Reichel has been called up for three games and the Blackhawks have won all three, Reichel scored his first NHL and also assisted on two-game winning goals.
What more can the rookie do to prove his spot in the NHL? Well it seems like his expectations blew away the Blackhawks head coach Luke Richardson, as he stated Reichel will be here for enough time, as though it seemed..
Luke Richardson on Lukas Reichel: "I think the idea of bringing him up now is probably he earned a spot. It's not just a flash, coming up for a game or two. It's just to give him an extended time to see if he can sustain what he's doing right now." #Blackhawks
Now today, just a few days later after Reichel was deemed to be staying with the big club the Blackhawks have announced that Reichel has been sent down to the Rockford Ice Hogs, seriously putting question to the Blackhawks management.
We can now for sure say the Blackhawks are not trying to win, as expected. But it's rough on the fans to get a good glimpse of something good, and have it away. Take a look at some fans erupting after the roster move was announced this morning:
