January is going to answer all of our questions we have had this season about the future of the Blackhawks.
Kyle Davidson announced a five year rebuild plan, and with that came questions about whether Jonathan Toews or Patrick Kane wants to be a part of it. Next month, the Captain and Alternate Captain are supposed to have their decisions in on if they want to be traded. However, if they choose they want to stay and be resigned, they will have to take a huge pay cut.
Personally, I see Toews leaving. The front runner in my opinion is the Winnipeg Jets. The Jets are in need of a third line center, and their Captain slot is wide open for Jonathan to fill. Winnipeg is already a really good team, and the addition of him will make the team even better. Jonathan Toews currently has 11 goals and 9 assists, totaling up for 20 points on the season.
I also see Kane leaving, as well. The front runner in my opinion is the New York Rangers. Don't get me wrong, New York is already a stellar team. But if they add someone like Patrick, it will be deadly. Especially seeing him play alongside the Bredman, Artemi Panarin again. Patrick Kane currently has 5 goals and 20 assists, adding up to 25 points on the year.
