Blackhawks' Artyom Levshunov Facing Long-Term Suspension After Ejection in AHL Game

The Chicago Blackhawks' top prospect Artyom Levshunov was thrown out of today's IceHogs' game with a misconduct in the first period.
Artyom Levshunov will have to figure out how to practice discipline on the ice, as today he was given a game misconduct.
The crime occurred at 8:58 in the first period in the Rockford IceHogs game against the Chicago Wolves.
The victim would be left-shot defenseman wearing #2 Dominick Fensore, who would receive a brutal cross-check from Levshunov.

#93 Justin Robidas would step in to try and defend his teammate, as chaos would ensue on the ice.
The two teams would attempt to coalesce into a massive scrum on the four-on-four power-play but the referees would step in and shut it down before it got worse.
This is a blemish on Levshunov's stellar play in the AHL this season who after returning from injury has played 46 games for the IceHogs.
He's scored 21 points (5 G, 16 A) in that time frame, and has adjusted to the AHL ice well.
Levshunov was the Blackhawks 2nd overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft. While some aggression on the ice is great, being careless, and putting your team in a situation where you're outmanned and outgunned is bad.
The Wolves and IceHogs are now in the second period, where they're down 2-0 thanks to Levshunov's carelessness.
The Chicago Blackhawks today announced that the team has recalled defenseman Artyom Levshunov from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League. The team has also placed defenseman Louis Crevier (concussion protocol) on injured reserve retroactive to Feb. 1.
Levshunov was recently called up to the NHL during the Four Nation Face-Off break to give him more time on the ice.
