Patrick Kane and these players will hit the free agent market
It is reported that Patrick Kane will become a free agent this summer and will be seeking a multi-year contract after undergoing surgery.
Due to the extended recovery period, he may wait until the end of the summer to assess the market and determine where he will sign and for how long.
Kane underwent hip-resurfacing surgery with the expectation of regaining his previous form.
He has struggled to be the offensive powerhouse he once was over the past year and a half.
In the 2022-2023 season, Kane had a cap hit of $10.5 million and managed to score 21 goals and 36 assists, totaling 57 points, despite his injury.
According to DailyFaceoff.com, Kane's upcoming contract is projected to be around $5 million.
Other notable free agents on NHL Insider's Chris Johnston's list are: Ryan O'Reilly, Michael Bunting, Damon Severson, Dmitry Orlov, Tyler Bertuzzi, Vladislav Gavrikov, JT Compher, Alex Killorn, Tristan Jarry, Jordan Staal, Max Domi, Ivan Barbashev, Frederik Andersen, Vladimir Tarasenko, Connor Brown, Max Pacioretty, Scott Mayfield, Matt Dumba, Adin Hill, Ryan Graves, Radko Gudas, Carson Soucy, Erik Haula, and Luke Schenn
