Blackhawks forward Alex DeBrincat (back-to-back 40 goal scorer) has officially been traded for a underwhelming return, and the return is not the only scary thing regarding this trade.

Losing Alex DeBrincat is scarily similar to the Panarin situation, but even worse.. Patrick Kanes whopping $10.5 million dollar contract is set to expire after this season, and Kane himself mentioned during a press interview that if DeBrincat stayed it would definitely help his thoughts on a future in a Blackhawks uniform which is now down the drain.

Kaner was absolutely heartbroken when his iconic duo Artemi Panarin was dealt to the Columbus Blue Jackets- the Blackhawks did not have the funds to keep the 'bread man'' along on the roster, frustration was shown from Patrick Kane during interviews and media questionnaires after each game.

With little to no time remaining on his contract, you can only imagine how frustrated Kane would be that his few remaining years in the NHL are stuck with a rebuilding roster where another best friend has been traded away.

NHL insider Pierre Lebrun tried to question Patrick Kane's agent regarding there thought process after DeBrincat was traded away, and it does not seem good.

Pierre LeBrun: 'Asked agent Pat Brisson about his
client Patrick Kane and his NHL future in lieu of trade by the
rebuilding Blackhawks. Brisson said they're not "going to make any
decisions or comments at this point."

Pat Brisson also manages Jonathan Toews, with both there contracts expiring shortly it seems as if it is time to prepare for another heartbreaking departure and to look forward to the future.
