Canadiens Prospect Suffers Scary Injury at Practice
The long-waited off-season is slowly approaching which means the NHL's training camps are back in action, where general managers and coaches will make a final decision and submit their 23-man roster to the league in preparation for opening night on October 11th, just 30 days away.
Training camps are filled with prospects looking to make a final cut, and also players currently under contract that have a sure-shot at making the opening night roster. But one team in particulars training camp is cut short, and that is the Montreal Canadiens, which is suffering a loss of one of their 2022 drafted prospects...
That prospect is Vinzenz Roher, who is coming off a hot season in the OHL with the Ottawa 67's and being drafted 75th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in this years NHL draft which took place just a few months ago on July seventh.
Roher suffered a large shot to the face in practice, and is confirmed to be out week-to-week, not giving him a shot at developing with the Habs before the season starts, not that he would crack the roster- but training camps give players a feel of the fast-paced level the NHL plays at.
Thankfully it did not take out a eye, or cause any internal damage..
