Former Stanley Cup Champion Makes a Surprising Career Change Nobody Expected
The only news being broke in this years NHL off-season seems to be players leaving the NHL for the KHL, and other foreign hockey leagues, or players retiring. Well, leave it to one retired former Stanley Cup Champion to break a piece of different news, with a sweet career change.
That player is, goaltender Scott Darling. The six-foot five, two hundred and thirty pound beast of a goaltender spent his NHL career as a solid backup, and has also put up notable numbers in the Chicago Blackhawks affiliate team. Darling won a Stanley Cup with the Hawks as well.
Darling has officially hung up the skates, and traded them in for a microphone? Yes, you heard that right, Darling is now pursuing a career in comedy and has already done multiple shows. Darling stated the following:
�'Who would be the most surprised to hear that I am doing this? I'd say anybody I played hockey with, any of my teammates''
