It has been announced that paper transactions have been made, claiming forwards Lukas Reichel and Joey Anderson are eligible for the AHL playoffs.
It has also been announced that new acquisition Anders Bjork will not be eligible for the AHL playoffs.
Anderson has been average in his time here. Joey is 24 years old, so he has some time to develop. 0 points so far but he has a couple shots on net.
Reichel is the current top prospect from Chicago. He is 20 years old and has 4 points in 6 games up in the NHL. Lukas has been amazing, and stands out among most Hawks right now.
Bjork was acquired from the Buffalo Sabres for future considerations. He had 25 points in 42 games with Buffalo's AHL affiliate, but isn't showing anything up playing with the Blackhawks.
At this point I wonder, who would win a 7-game series? The Blackhawks or the Icehogs? It would be close, that's for sure.
