Remparts head coach suspended for his splendid sentiments, which he spewed towards a QMJHL referee
Recently Patrick Roy lost his cool during a QMJHL game, and the league, along with the referee in question were far from pleased.
The events over the weekend led to a league-sanctioned suspension for the NHL hall of famer.
Roy was suspended for one game and fine $5,000, for his efforts in the exchange.
Roy expressed his feelings towards the match-up and game, which the event occured during.
«As I told my players, I don't feel I'm getting the same treatment as other coaches around the league,» Roy said as per Yahoo Sports. «That's why I try to do as little talking as possible during games. I thought it was funny that the league put us against Shawinigan in an exhibition game. They were tactless,» said Roy of league's schedule makers decision.
Certainly Roy has no right to harrass a referee, but does the decision seem to warrant Roy's actions?
