Robin Lehner would have loved to stay in Chicago
Robin Lehner has been sidelined due to an injury for a considerable amount of time, sparking uncertainty about his future with the Vegas Golden Knights.
Meanwhile, Logan Thompson and Adin Hill have stepped up to provide vital support for the team.
Let's take a moment to reflect on Lehner's journey to Vegas. In February 2020, he was traded to the Golden Knights, despite his reluctance to leave.
Although he wasn't having his best season, with a .888 sv%, he was still traded for Malcolm Subban, who is now playing for AHL Rockford. Prior to joining the Blackhawks, Lehner had been a Vezina Trophy Finalist, but this did not deter the Hawks from trading him.
Lehner was so committed to staying with the Chicago team that he offered to take a pay cut, but unfortunately, the top executives did not respond.
Since then, he has been dealing with injuries and legal issues, but when he was on the ice in Vegas, he displayed remarkable skills.
