Over the years, the Reichel family has been a staple in the NHL. Robert was a household name in the 1980s and 1990s for various teams. His brother Martin Reichel played his hockey career in Europe for Germany.
Fast forward to 2023, which brings
Lukas Reichel. The son of Martin at 20 years old was drafted in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft first round 17th pick overall. Tonight against the Wild, Reichel scores a beauty of a goal against Minnesota Wild goaltender
Filip Gustavsson.
His goal allowed the Hawks to tie the game 1-1. His speed and skill along with his wrist shot certainly will bode well for the Blackhawks going forward during this rebuilding phase.
The Hawks have high hopes for this player and Hawks fans expect him to be a staple on their team for many years to come.
He has played 16 games and has scored five goals and four assists for nine points.
The Blackhawks will be at home playing against the Vancouver Canucks on March 26th. Game time will be at 6:00 PM eastern.
