The Seattle Kraken first round selection in the 2022 draft was quite polarizing, as the player was long-touted to go first overall.
When he slipped to the Kraken, it seemed like a gift for them.
But since the selection, Wright has primarily sat in the press box.
Until recently when the Kraken sent him down to the minors, and he wasted little time showing his skills.
Wright buried a beauty wrister on a breakaway, and while he didn't exactly celebrate Ovie style, it can be argued that he felt pretty good after the mismanagement by the Kraken thus far.
Pretty nifty goal, and it begs the question. If he isn't to play in the NHL, is sending him back to the OHL a detriment to his development?
Due to his age, however, he is either destined for the NHL or back down to the OHL, which it seems he has nothing left to prove.
Very interesting, and only the Kraken know what awaits.
