When players get a double minor penalty it's usually for one incident, mainly high-sticking and and drawing blood.
Well Minnesota Wild's forward Ryan Hartman got a double minor during Tuesday night's game between the Wild and visiting Calgary Flames, when Hartman would use his stick to give Flames defenceman Ramus Andersson a dirty slash Andersson wasn't expecting. The perfect representation of the slash would be a lumberjack cutting wood.
Hartman would then cross check Anderson's teammate, Flames forward Trevor Lewis right to the grill, knocking Lewis down with a cheap shot to earn a double minor penalty.
That's likely the least of Hartman's worries as clearly Hartman will be getting a mini vacation from the NHL as part of a suspension for his actions vs the Flames.
