NHL Team Refuses to Wear Pride Themed Jerseys Minutes Before Puck Drop, Fans Are Not Happy
Philadelphia Flyers defensemen Ivan Provorov's decision to not participate in his teams' pride night event of wearing warm-up jerseys sparked a lot more teams to opt out of the 'event'.
Since, multiple players and organizations have spoken out and addressed the situation in an unhappy way, where they would support the pride movement, and there is also multiple teams who have opted out of wearing the pride jerseys as a whole, despite having a scheduled night advertised to fans.
Minnesota Wild's writer for The Athletic Michael Russo revealed that the Wild would opt out of wearing their pride-themed jerseys tonight, a last-second decision it seems, despite the organization advertising that the event was still taking place just days ago.
