Team Officially Submits Offer For Patrick Kane: But Kane is Leaving The Blackhawks in a Bad Spot
The Chicago Blackhawks are in a difficult situation as the NHL trade deadline is nine days away and Patrick Kane, the greatest trade asset available, has not yet decided what to do. As we get closer to the end of the trade window, Kane's trade value keeps declining as the seconds pass.
With the deadline less than a week away, Kane was questioned about his thoughts, but he appeared to be unsure of them.
Asked what his gut was telling him, he replied, "I don't know. I think if I knew that, I'd probably make the decision already. So we'll see."
If Kane asks for a trade, it has been said that he won't provide the Chicago Blackhawks management a list of clubs, but rather only one, putting the organization in a difficult situation. But, whatever the lucky team is, they'll probably get Patrick Kane for a good deal as the Blackhawks management must respect his decision on where he would like to go..
We might now be aware with that one team, the Edmonton Oilers? The great Patrick Kane of the Blackhawks has received an offer from the Oilers, according to Elliotte Friedman.
The #LetsGoOilers have made a pitch for Patrick Kane.
@FriedgeHNIC
says the rationale is they may want the option for a strong second line if McDavid and Draisaitl play together.
Elliotte Friedman says the Oilers have made a pitch for Patrick Kane and it's up to Kane whether or not he wants to be moved. He adds that the Oilers declined a big ask on Sam Lafferty and also said that Erik Karlsson to the Oilers is a one in a million.
