Ahead of tonight's game against the Las Vegas Golden Knights, the Blackhawks have announced two players will be out of action. These players include forwards MacKenzie Entwistle and Reese Johnson. Entwistle was placed on injured reserve retroactive to Feb. 14, and Johnson was put in concussion protocol.
Entwistle was placed on injured reserve for his right wrist. He was activated from injured reserve Jan. 12 for likely the same injury. It's possible he'll be out of play longer than he was previously.
Johnson didn't practice with the team yesterday, as he was out for maintenance. Today he was put in concussion protocol, but when he sustained the injury is unclear. Forward Brett Seney will take his place in the lineup tonight.
In better news, the Blackhawks are hopeful for forward Jujhar Khaira's full return ahead of the road trip. Whether there will be any more call-ups or reassignments has yet to be determined.
