Some huge news for the Chicago Blackhawks AHL affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs, as they receive a boost in their playoff push with recent roster moves. The addition of forwards Joey Anderson and Buddy Robinson to the IceHogs lineup is expected to give them a much-needed offensive boost.
Anderson was acquired by the Blackhawks in a trade with the New Jersey Devils earlier this year and has recorded 12 points in 33 NHL games this season. Robinson, on the other hand, has been a standout player in the AHL, recording 28 points in 35 games with the IceHogs this season.
Along with Anderson and Robinson, the IceHogs also receive Jalen Luypen and Gavin Hayes, which adds further depth to their already solid lineup. The recent roster moves are a clear indication that the Blackhawks are committed to developing their prospects and helping their AHL affiliate succeed. The Rockford IceHogs will surely benefit from the added talent as they push for a playoff spot.
