The Edmonton Oilers faced off against the Calgary Flames in game 2 of the Battle of Alberta last night (Friday).
During the first period of play the Edmonton Oilers scored a goal to get the game tied up at 2, hence the referee being right in sight- he blew the whistle and waived off the goal.
The Oilers were furious and got the referees to take a second look at it, and because the referee so happened to 'lose site' of the puck it was determined no goal.
