It was reported early last week that Golden Knights goaltender Robin Lehner was set to undergo a double hip surgery, with both hips requiring attention.
The report came from Golden Knights beat writer Jesser Granger, via her twitter -she quoted McCrimmon as saying this - "Lehner is having double hip surgery (as in surgery on both hips)." She also said that McCrimmon explained Lehner has already had the procedure done on one hip, with the second one to happen at a later date.
With the loss of Fleury, and now news of Lehner's surgical procedures, certainly Golden Knights fans are at a loss of words. The goaltending situation looks to be prospect goaltender Logan Thompson, and beyond that, McCrimmon has got his work cut out for himself, acquiring or signing a free agent goaltender ahead of the 2022-23 NHL season.
That goaltender being Adin Hill, a back up goaltender from the San Jose Sharks.
