This Blackhawks Goaltender Deserves Better
This Hawk deserves so much better. I'm shocked he wasn't traded at the deadline, because he's actually pretty solid.
His name is Alex Stalock. Stalock is nearing the end of his career at the age of 35, but it doesn't look like it. He really picked it up this season on a team where there isn't much of a supporting cast. Stalock has a 2.80 GAA, with a .915 SV%. This is his second best season of his career.
There have been multiple moments this season where Patrick Sharp had thought Alex deserved better, playing his best games and ending up losing when things are all said and done. As I mentioned before, I'm shocked Stalock wasn't traded to a team like the Lightning or was included in the Max Domi trade to the Stars, because they could use a backup like him right now.
Alex Stalock deserves so much better, and I hope he leaves to go somewhere else so he can hoist the Stanley Cup before he retires.
