Cam Atkinson took the time to praise former Blue Jackets Head Coach John Tortorella in an interview. Which is quite interesting, you do not hear any positive feedback about Torts, and his hard-headed coaching ways.
The former head coach - player duo were both a part of the Jackets organization, where Atkinson was coached under the tutelage of 'Torts'
Atkinson had this to say during an interview on the Flyers talk podcast.
"One thing that I love about Torts is that he came in and changed the culture right away," enthused Atkinson, about his former head coach. "Set the tone right off the bat, from everyone. Equipment guys, medical guys, management, family, just anything you could think of he did and it really shaped the way the Blue Jackets are to this day."
Surely Atkinson is excited for the upcoming season, as the Philadelphia Flyer will once again be coached by Tortorella.
